Plot:

A college student by the name of Watanabe Ken visits the town of Shibetoro in Hokkaidō. His mother gave birth to him in a quarry in Shibetoro and he wants to see the stone on which he was born. When local rowdies pick a quarrel with him, Ken is saved by Kazama Shingo, the foreman of the quarry. Ken visits the quarry where the stonecutters are confronting an unscrupulous businessman named Samejima Daigorō, who is trying to take over the quarry. Despite some initial feelings of hostility toward Shingo, Ken begins to trust this man who him who is standing up to Samejima and trying to protect the quarry.
